Jules Gounon will face his second race in the FIA World Endurance Championship at the 6h of Spa-Francorchamps which will take place next weekend.
The Frenchman continues his adventure in Alpine as a replacement for Ferdinand Habsburg, who is still recovering from the injury suffered last month.
The Austrian had suffered damage to his vertebrae in a disastrous off-track accident during a test with the A424 and for this reason he had been forced to miss the 6h of Imola.
Gounon had been called up in his place and, as Alpine’s reserve, had the opportunity to board the #35 car with Paul-Loup Chatin and Charles Milesi on the Santerno.
With Habsburg once again stuck in the pits, the transalpine is thus called to a new challenge with the LMDh prepared by Team Signatech in the Ardennes, despite the entry list for the event having included the owner in the Hypercar Class crew.

“Jules will join us again, while Ferdinand will continue his recovery, which should last a few more days,” said Team Principal, Philippe Sinault, who then underlined the desire to take further steps forward after a difficult outing in that Imola.
“It’s always a pleasure to race at Spa-Francorchamps, a legendary circuit and hotbed of endurance racing. We knew that Imola would be difficult due to the characteristics of the track. This week we return to a more familiar place, more similar to the circuits we will encounter for the rest of the season.”
“The objective this week is clear: we want to build on what we have learned from the first two races to learn more about our technical and operational position after the race.”
“This is an important moment in our project and a real run-in, as it is one of the last opportunities to fine-tune the package and operating systems that we will have at Le Mans.”
“We have done a lot of work in preparation for this race, which should also serve to gather the team and prepare it before going to the Sarthe.”
