Last week a trial phase was conducted to make a XDefiant server testing. For the moment there are no details on when the full game will arrive in digital stores, but the announcement should not be too far away.
Mark Rubin, Executive Producer of XDefiant, revealed that release date will be revealed “very soon” and that the test “went very well.” Furthermore, he indicated which are the three components of the game on which they understood they needed to work, thanks to the testing of the servers.
The information was shared via Twitteras you can see above.
What the XDefiant team has to work on
The three main issues that the XDefiant studio noted are, in the words of the Executive Producer:
- Delta-1 errors. These could be one of the issues causing additional latency issues (e.g. getting hit around corners). This fix should therefore improve the gaming experience, but it is yet to be determined to what extent.
- Health bars (both above player headers and in the death cam) updated late compared to actual damage, giving the impression that projectiles were doing no damage.
- Lastly, we weren't aggressive enough with our matchmaking when trying to find matches, so people were having higher pings than we would have liked. This issue was partially resolved during the test, so the last day of the test should have been better than the previous days.
Now we just have to wait for one exit date by XDefiant.
