The Region of Murcia is the second community, in percentage terms, where the creation of labor companies increased the most in the last year, with 32 new entities. The Region has 625 companies of this type, which employ 3,406 people and have a turnover of 265 million euros, highlighted yesterday the regional president, Fernando López Miras, during the inauguration of the ordinary general assembly of the Business Association of Labor and Participated Companies ( Amusal).
During his speech, the head of the regional Executive recalled that the 2024 Budget of the Community “collects more than six million euros in aid for the social economy”, and explained that “we are already drafting the sixth Social Economy Pact together with associations”, to consolidate the growth of this business model and face the challenges of the future. López Miras recalled that these are “companies with soul” in which “people come first.”
López Miras conveyed his recognition to José Francisco Ballester, president of Amusal for the last 17 years, and who is now leaving office. López Miras pointed out that “the Region of Murcia owes a lot” to Ballester, because “selflessly, he has dedicated his time to helping people and generating many opportunities through the social economy.”
