Yes, for the second consecutive day, the Mexican president once again placed the Latinus company and its journalists at the center of criminal violence; a violence that, due to its characteristics, must be fought with federal forces and not by municipal or state power.
But since in politics nothing is coincidental, in recent days the nickname “disinformation cartel” also appeared in the voice of deputies, senators and leaders of Morena, when referring to Latinus' journalistic work.
What does it mean that from the Palace and with the full weight of presidential power, a media outlet and its journalists are demonized in this way?
That is the center of the problem, since the most important thing is the messages that both the president and his candidate send to society and, especially, the messages from the criminal groups that operate throughout the country.
Messages of persecution, terror, censorship, prison and that the lives of journalists are in permanent danger. “You'll be quiet!” they seem to say.
But we go in parts.
1.- It is clear that the central message is to journalists. This is a warning of what the treatment of critics will be like in an eventual government of Mrs. Claudia Sheinbaum.
Yes, what they say from the Palace is that those who dare to question the unspeakable alliances of Sheinbaum's potential government will be demonized and persecuted just like Latinus; alliances with crime.
But it's not new either. Something similar happened in May 2018, when Morena's hired hitmen defamed the author of the Political Itinerary, forcing all the journalistic companies that published my opinions to cancel their contracts.

Who was interested in sending a video message of a meeting between Morena's presidential candidate and criminal groups from Chiapas?
No, in reality it is foolish to assume that it was a casual and fortuitous encounter where Mrs. Claudia discovered the reality of violence that she experiences in Chiapas and the entire Mexican southeast.
