Apple has announced a new product announcement event scheduled for May 7 at 5pm ET, exclusively online. The invitation image, which includes the Apple Pencil, suggests that iPads will be the focus of this virtual event. Rumors indicate that the iPad Pro will receive some of its most significant improvements from 2021, when it was equipped with the M1 chip. Among these there will be an OLED display and a slight increase in size up to 13 inches for the largest model. An update to the chipset is also expected with the new M3 and an expected horizontal relocation of the front camera.
It's also expected to launch a new Apple Pencil and a redesigned Magic Keyboard, with an aluminum frame and a larger trackpad. It is likely that new iPad Airs will also be presented, including a larger 12.9-inch version in addition to the classic 10.9. Both models should be equipped with the M2 chip. It is unclear whether a new version of the basic iPad and a new iPad mini, more recently updated models, will also be shown.
