Homeworld 3 it's not out yet but Gearbox has already announced that there are big long-term support plans, with lots of content that will be released after launchis free and paid and of different sizes.
Let's remember that the game has the exit date scheduled for May 13th on PC, and the following month, in June, the arrival of a first free update is expected which will add new challenges and artifacts to the basic contents of the sci-fi game.
In July there will then be further paid DLC, in this case with a more substantial addition containing a new one playable faction with all the elements that come with it, such as new starter fleets, a new emblem and additional artifacts and challenges to complete.
Long-term support
From here on, the details become even more vague, but what is certain is that Gearbox still intends to continue to support Homeworld 3 for a long time with other contents, in addition obviously to the technical support that will not be missing from the market launch.
What has been made known at the moment is that during the fourth quarter of 2024 there will be other free content, while in 2025 the arrival of another new faction is expected, which will arrive together with further challenges and maps that will add expand the game universe.
A few days ago we saw a trailer summarizing the history of the universe created by Relic Entertainment for the series in question, while from the demo the developers made various changes to Homeworld 3, as emerged in the changes following the feedback from the demo.
The game had a long and complex genesis, postponed on several occasions and over several years, but at this point it should be ready to arrive in complete form (except for additions and updates) on May 13, 2024 on PC.
