A developer of Helldivers 2 stated that the studio is working on a handful of problems that are well known to the team, but also explained that solve the biggest problems it is difficult when there is a need to publish a new one War title every month.
In a post published on the game's official Discord channel, the Spitz community manager stated that the issues are “either large fixes that take a while or low-priority issues that end up at the bottom of the list.” In any case, “most of them should be fixed in the next major build.”
Spitz then explains that “it is difficult to maintain our cadence of one War Bond per month and at the same time resolve major technical issues in time for the next patch.”
We remind you that Helldivers 2 receives every month new contentwith new weapons, armor and more.
The reaction of Helldivers 2 players
Many of the community responses suggest that players would be happy to skip or delay a War Title to help developers catch up on their workload. Responses on Discord and social media suggest that Arrowhead has certainly built up enough trust from gamers for the community to be happy to wait a little longer for new content.
The question, however, “It's not that easy“: Spitz says that “skipping a War Bond for a month is a huge business decision.” Presumably, it's a financial issue: If a War Bond doesn't come out, Arrowhead can't remonetize its game for another four weeks .
Clearly Arrowhead must find a way to balance the two needs: in your opinion is it succeeding for the moment? Considering that Helldivers 2 isn't budging from the top spot on Steam, one might say so.
