The Italian Sunday evening opened with the Moto3 race, a category which, as usual, opened the program of the most awaited day of the MotoGP weekend. The fall of Ortola and Nepa

At first the international directors had filmed the Abruzzo man heading towards Ortolà running in a hurry, even giving the sensation of wanting to have a lively discussion with the Spaniard. Then when Nepa arrived next to the KTM rider, the images returned to the race, leaving viewers at home with doubts about what was happening. In reality, the Nepa race had a very clear motivation: Ortola was restarting the race with the wrong bike.

Incredibly, once he got up, the Spaniard confused his bike with that of his opponent, who pushed his rival to get off his Honda and head towards the KTM, located in another point of the track. An error probably due to the habit of the bike used by Ortolà in 2023, which had a similar livery to that of Nepa's current bike.
