Fincantieri, an Italian public company operating in the shipbuilding industry, participated in the AI Week, an event on artificial intelligence held in Rimini from 8 to 12 April. During the workshop, entitled “Bringing the Future on Board. How AI has changed Fincantieri's communication”the company explored the challenges and possible risks presented by Generative Artificial Intelligence for businesses, as well as the successes achieved in less than a year thanks to the integration of these advanced technologies.
The AI Week in Rimini, an event now in its fifth edition, featured important national and international companies and personalities such as Abram Maldonado, Open AI Ambassador, and Guido Scorza, privacy guarantor. During the event, artificial intelligence and some issues related to this sector were discussed, such as automation, sustainability, publishing, communication and cybersecurity.
Fincantieri aims to adopt the latest technologies in generative AI to optimize internal communication
As reported in an article in the newspaper Italian AffairsFincantieri described during the workshop the two key projects in the field of Communication, based on artificial intelligence, implemented during 2023. The first of these projects, focused on the production of textual and visual content, led Fincantieri to triple engagement and impressions on your social channels on an annual basis.
Fincantieri's second project, focused on the automation of both quantitative and qualitative monitoring, aimed at reputation analysis through online sources and, in the near future, also offline, has facilitated a more efficient allocation of resources, transferring them from preliminary analysis activities to value-added tasks.
Fincantieri's goal for 2024 is to introduce the latest technologies related to generative AI, especially for internal communication activities: from Digital Avatar and voice synthesizers to break down linguistic barriers up to AI Assistants, tools capable of making more usable , in guided and personalized mode, large amounts of information to all employees.
