Al-Oruba strengthened its lead in the First Division League, raising its score to 67 points, by defeating its host Al-Taawoun 2-0, at the start of the “Round 27” matches, which witnessed Dibba “Third” defeating its guest Al-Jazira Al-Hamra 4-0, and Al-Fujairah rose to fourth temporarily. Al-Orouba waited until the second half, to succeed in confirming its advantage over its host, Al-Taawoun, by scoring two goals through Facundo Fontina in the 58th minute, and Simon de Barros in the 86th minute.
The round's matches will continue on Sunday, with Masfout and Dibba Al Hisn, United and Gulf United, City and Gulf FC meeting, while Al Hamriya will be absent from the round, after canceling its match, which was scheduled to be against Al Rams, the “last”, before the latter withdrew.
