Between the night of this Saturday and throughout Sunday The probabilities of whirlwind formation will increase in Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas due to the interaction of various atmospheric phenomena, according to Conagua.
The dependency, through weather forecast of the National Meteorological Service, explained that the high pressure over the Gulf of Mexico will cause southerly winds (surada event) with gusts of 50 to 70 km/h. This will lead to a dry line over the north of the country that will contribute to the possible formation of whirlwinds. These conditions will persist throughout Sunday and will cause isolated rains in the aforementioned states.
For its part, the heat wave will cause a hot environment with maximum temperatures between 35°C to 40°C in the south of Sonora, Chihuahua, Durango, Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas during Sunday.
By Monday, cold front 46 will interact with the dry line, incoming moisture, and the polar and subtropical jet streams. The union of these phenomena will cause isolated rains, winds with very strong to intense gusts and a cold environment in the northwestern states of Mexico. Likewise, they will maintain the probability of formation of tornadoes or whirlwinds in the northeast of Chihuahua, in Coahuila, in the north of Nuevo León and in the northeast of Tamaulipas.
For this day, in Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas there will be isolated rains, winds with gusts of 60 to 80 m/h and maximum temperatures between 40°C to 45°C.
During Tuesday, the probability of tornadoes will only persist in the northeast of Coahuila, as well as in the north of Nuevo León and Tamaulipas.
Likewise, there will be intervals of showers, southerly winds will continue with gusts of 60 to 80 km/h in Nuevo León and Tamaulipas; as well as gusts of 50 to 70 km/h in Coahuila. Maximum temperatures will have the same intensity as Monday.
