A 35-year-old man was seriously injured late this Saturday after receiving a stab in the neck in Mazarrón, according to Emergency sources. 112 received a call around 9 p.m. reporting an attack with a knife on Montera Street, next to a well-known Chinese bazaar.
Members of the Mazarrón Local Police and agents of the Civil Guard traveled to the scene, who have taken charge of the case. The affected person, as explained by the sources, was leaving the store with his girlfriend when he was attacked with a knife by an acquaintance. The attack caused a serious injury that resulted in significant blood loss. An ambulance took him to the Santa Lucía hospital in Cartagena.
The alleged aggressor, according to sources close to the investigation, was arrested shortly after the attack for an alleged crime of attempted homicide. After being transferred to the barracks, he will be at the disposal of an investigative court in Totana.
