Sensational breakthrough in the case: what happened in the past
It should have been a cheerful evening, full of good music, that of Subsonica, a band he loved so much. But those spent at the Nelson Mandela Forum in Florence were the last moments of Antonio Morraa 47-year-old warehouse worker, family man and with a deep-rooted dedication to work.
According to initial testimonies, the culprit would be a worker responsible for assembling and dismantling the stage. At the conclusion the public prosecutor and the Florence Police arrived after speaking with some of those present.
The disappearance of Antonio Morra leads to an arrest: he was responsible for loading/unloading the stage at the Subsonica concert
The video surveillance cameras portray Antonio Morra while discussing with the show's staff around 11pm, before a man punched him, causing him to fall to the ground and hit his head violently. The charge is manslaughter. Subsequent investigations will shed more light on the matter.
In a desperate attempt to save him, the operators had transported Antonio Morra to the Florentine hospital of Careggi. Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done, except declare his premature death.
Originally from Potenza, Antonio Morra had gone to the concert in the company of his wife, with whom he had lived in Pistoia for years, with their three children, aged 16, 9 and 6. A warehouse worker in the area, he was respected by friends and colleagues, who remember him with enormous sadness on social media. “I think about it and I think about you and it feels like I'm living a nightmare – writes a friend on social media — You were a workmate and a friend and I will never forget you. Now take this journey towards what you firmly believed in”. Meanwhile, Subsonica have expressed grief and dismay over the incident. They are close to their families, in such a delicate moment, to which it is possible to make sense.
