Monte Carlo – Jannik Sinner confirms himself among the best four of 'Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters', the third '1000' of the season, with a prize pool of 5,950,575 euros, which is coming to life on the red clay of the Montecarlo Country Club, in the Principality of Monaco. The 22 year old from Sesto Pusteria, number 2 in the ranking, qualifies for the semi-finals by beating the tough Danish Holger Runenumber 7 in the world, in three sets with a score of 6-4, 6-7 (6), 6-3 in 2 hours and 40 minutes.
The blue takes revenge for last year's semi-final defeat by finishing on the third match point after two failures in the second set. In the semifinals Sinner will face the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas.
The Dane's (unpleasant) show
The usual provocateur Holger Rune. During the match against the blue Sinner, the Danish tennis player was the protagonist of an argument first with the chair judge and then with the referee for a warning he received after violating the serving time and arguing with the public. Rune, no stranger to scenes like this, after arguing with the chair umpire he went to sit down waiting for the referee to arrive which eventually made him calm down and go back to playing, however confirming the warning. Meanwhile, in the stands full of Italian fans, protests broke out against the Dane, who with an offensive gesture he 'silenced' the public.
