Hulkenberg will have to wait for Imola
Racing Bulls e Haas they are the only teams with the exception of Red Bull, Ferrari, McLaren, Mercedes and Aston Martin to have scored points in the first four rounds of the championship. Haas scored with both drivers, Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen, while the team led by Laurent Mekies is currently led by Yuki Tsunoda.
In Japan Lance Stroll's colorless performance opened a window into the points and it was the Japanese from Racing Bulls who slipped in. The red flag made necessary after the accident between Daniel Ricciardo and Alexander Albon, however, was saving for Tsunoda and detrimental for Nico Hulkenberg. The German, in fact, was tenth after the first start, while in the second the anti-stall was activated and the Haas driver found himself practically at the back of the group, still recovering to a few seconds gap (five) at the finish line compared to Tsunoda .
Haas is a distant relative of the car that was unable to be competitive in the race a year ago and the first updates will arrive in China to try to improve in fast corners. As reported by the newspaper Auto Motor und Sport the updates will only be produced in duplicate and will therefore be able to equip only one car to protect themselves from starting from the pit lane in case of using old specifications, an eventuality not to be discarded especially in light of the Sprint weekend. The updated Haas will be available to Kevin Magnussen, a reward also for having been a team man in Saudi Arabia when he allowed Hulkenberg to score points while keeping a large group of riders behind him. Hulkenberg will have updates starting from the Imola GP when Kevin Magnussen will make way for Oliver Bearman in FP1.
