While the search for the missing continues after the tragedy at the Emilian power plant, the sixth confirmed victim has been recovered. He is a 37 year old man
He was 37 years old and was one of the missing workers that rescuers had been looking for for days at the site of the disaster in Emilia Romagna. Unfortunately it is also the sixth victim recovered in Suviana, after the explosion of Enel Green Power's Bargi hydroelectric power plant. A young life cut short while he was working: he was also renovating his house because he would soon get married.
He was called Alessandro D'Andrea. The divers recovered his body late in the evening of Thursday 11 April 2024, at the site of the disaster that occurred at the hydroelectric power plant in the Suviana basin, in Emilia Romagna.
This is the sixth victim recovered, while another person is still missing and the searches continue unabated. Alessandro was nicknamed “The Tuscan” by everyone and for those who knew him he was a good person.
Who was Alessandro D'Andrea, sixth victim recovered in the Suviana disaster
Alessandro D'Andrea was 37 years old and originally from Forcoli, in the province of Pisa. He had left Tuscany to move to Lombardy. He worked in Cinisello Balsamo, at the Voith Hydro.
He lived with his girlfriend Sara, who had followed him to Lombardy. The couple had been together since 2008 and had decided to get married soon. Together, in fact, they were renovating the house to fulfill their dream of love.
Tosco was a truly good person. A friend of his had described him this way when the 37-year-old was still on the list of missing people following the tragedy that occurred in Suviana. A boy with a heart of gold, like those in the movies who take the blame for others or who stop to help a stranger stranded in his car.
Alessandro was a cheerful boy, available and always ready to help others. He was also a hard worker and never held back when he needed to lend a hand. He often went to the range with his friends, but, in addition to his passion for hunting and firearms, he also loved going fishing.
