Who will drive Red Bull in 2025?
There were multiple i names similar to Red Bull for the next season, both in the case of an early separation from Max Verstappen, and in the case of a decision not to renew with Sergio Perez.
The most talked about drivers for the Anglo-Austrian team are undoubtedly Carlos Sainz of Ferrari, Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin and Alexander Albon of Williams.
However, it is not certain that Verstappen and Perez cannot be in the Red Bull cockpit again in 2025: the Dutchman in fact has a contract until 2028 and the Mexican has started talks for a possible continuation of the agreement.
Alonso? Verstappen has some doubts
During an interview with the Dutch of Limburgers, Max Verstappen was asked about possible arrival in the team of Fernando Alonso: “I don't care who I have next to me. I also told the team this. If you ask me what I think, I would find it strange to sign a 42 year old driver. Red Bull has had a long tradition of training its own young drivers. Perez's arrival was already a departure from this trend and a 42-year-old driver would be even more so. I can get along with Fernando, but that's not the point. I look to the future of the team. But ultimately, it's up to them to decide.”
Max and Wolff's courtship
Verstappen did not hold back in commenting on theMercedes hypothesis that concerns him: “I understand why Wolff says he wants me. He can't ignore me, even in the past I had talks with them, before Red Bull. I showed them that I know how to be successful and now I understand that they want me on their car“. And he concluded: “A few years ago there was a bit of tension between us and Mercedes, maybe a little more than a little. But all this can be forgiven and forgottenfrom both sides. This doesn't mean I'm thinking of going somewhere else. Mercedes doesn't have the fastest car at the moment, that car is in fact the Red Bull”.
