“… He thief… catch the thief”, Popular adage that when we analyze it in depth, tells us a lot.
Who is screaming “the thief, catch the thief“It is said that the real thief does it with the clear and evident intention of to project the own mistakes toward a third person.
And it may seem incredible, but it generally works and perhaps that is why it is in fashion lately. Point to alleged thief and asking to be caught is synonymous with looking for someone to blame to avoid responsibility, justify deficiencies and hide errors.
Search for who to blame It's the same as yelling “catch the thief.” Looking for someone to blame is evading our responsibility and obligation to find how to resolve an issue.
It is possible that in some special cases, finding the culprit is part of the solution, which is why it rarely happens. Finding the culprit or finding someone to point out as the culprit is only a palliative, which in the end leads us nowhere. because we will have to continue living with the problem whose culprit or supposed culprit we already find but we do not take care of finding its solution.
“The thief, catch the thief” which in the end is the same as “the culprit is so-and-so or mangano” but in reality we do not stop to analyze what is happening and how to reverse its undesirable effects.
It may be that finding the culprit of the anomaly, or better yet, the reason why it occurred, will be very helpful in avoiding tripping over the same stone a second time, but it cannot replace the need to correct the anomaly.
Focusing on finding who made a hole in our boat, without taking care of covering it, is absolutely clumsy, it could be that we have sunk before clearly elucidating who caused the damage.
The logical and practical thing is to cover the hole and then, if it is useful, find out who made it, with the primary goal of not making another one.
Let's look for solutions, find answers, and leave the importance of looking for the culprit until after correcting the wrong.
Let us not be distracted by the cry of “the thief, catch the thief”, let us be objective when evaluating events without getting carried away by manipulative strategies that try to divert our vision from the real problems.
For a dignified and united Mexico, let us make a pact so that we are not distracted by the cry of “the thief, catch the thief”
