Seismographs have detected a new tremor earthquake, of magnitude 3, today 10 April 2024, in an area of ​​our country that has already had to deal with various seismic events in the past, some of which were of considerable importance. The earth, therefore, begins to tremble again in Italy, alarming the population: there is great concern about an earthquake that was felt by many people.

It was 6.20am on Wednesday 10 April, when the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) has detected a magnitude 3 earthquake in Italy. According to the data released, the hypocenter was identified at a depth of 24 kilometers.

There INGV Rome Seismic Hall, the most important body in Italy for terrestrial phenomena such as earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, recorded it and immediately spread the news. The local population, especially near the epicenter, felt the shock very well.

The epicenter took place in Emilia Romagna region, which in recent months from other seismic events of this kind. Such as the 3.8 magnitude earthquake, detected last February 20th with an epicenter at Calestanoin the province of Parma.

Throughout the night and throughout the morning, the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology he had recorded sixteen of them. The strongest had been clearly felt by the population. This time, however, the magnitude was slightly lower.

The earthquake at 6.20 am today, Wednesday 10 April, was recorded between the provinces of Reggio Emilia and Parma. The epicenter was located 7 kilometers northeast of Municipality of Vettoin the province of Reggio Emilia.

At the moment there are no reports of damage to people, homes or infrastructure, but the authorities are monitoring the situation. Just as happens, for example, in the Campi Flegrei, affected in recent months by a worrying seismic swarm.
