The “A Thousand Cooking” program, emanating from the Emirates Food Bank, in partnership with Fazaa Stores, implemented a group breakfast for employees of the helping professions, in Zabeel Park in Dubai, in the presence of a wide range of partners and social media pioneers.
During the event, the program prepared meals for approximately 7,000 beneficiaries, with the participation of 700 volunteers from several accredited volunteer agencies in the country, in addition to the program team consisting of chefs and assistants in cooperation with the Emirates Food Bank and Dubai Municipality, which embodies the concerted efforts to make this work a success.
The program was launched at the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan with the efforts of a group of contributing partners from food institutions and companies from the private sector, which worked to provide the necessary materials and tools to equip kitchens, to enhance the success of the program and achieve its main goals, including Fazaa stores, which provided all the food materials needed to prepare meals, In addition to other shareholders from the private sector.
The “A Thousand Cooking” program brought together an elite group of Emirati and resident chefs to prepare meals and donate them to the bank, in order to reinforce the principle of social responsibility and cooperation in the field of preserving the blessing of food from waste and destruction and distributing it to those who deserve it while promoting consumer culture, based on the bank’s developmental and constructive vision.
It is noteworthy that the Emirates Food Bank, affiliated with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation, implemented, in cooperation with the “Taya Art Production” company, the “Cooking of a Thousand” program, during which more than 30,000 iftar and suhoor meals were prepared and distributed during the month of Ramadan in the Hatta and Zabeel areas of Dubai. .
