The Ministry of Sports lifted the measure adopted against several host cities of Colombian professional football, to which it prohibited the entry of the public until they complied with the delivery of the documentation of the security and coexistence protocols.
The cities that failed to comply were Bogotá, Cartagena, Santa Marta, Neiva and Palmirawhich in principle could not count on public entry to their stadiums until they presented the documentation.
One of the cases that generated the most alert was that of Bogotá, as it is the main square and headquarters of teams such as Millionaires, Santa Fe and La Equidad.
There were even doubts regarding Sunday's match between La Equidad and Chicó, on date 15, to be played at the Techo stadium.
However, after Mindeporte's announcement, cities rushed to deliver the documentation. The president of the Dimayor, Fernando Jaramillosaid on Friday morning that the clubs complied, but administrative procedures led to this situation.
They lift the punishment
However, the problem was resolved in several cities. Dimayor reported in a statement that the respective procedures were initiated to resolve the situation.
“In the last few hours, the Ministry of Sports has informed DIMAYOR that the cities of Bogotá, Santa Marta and Neiva have presented the required documentation, correcting the aforementioned sanction,” said Dimayor.
Previously, Jaramillo had stated that Palmira and Cartagena had already been resolved.
As things stand, football returns to normal and the five punished cities will be able to count on their fans. The Ministry seeks, with this warning, that there be strict compliance with security protocols in Colombian soccer.
Mindeporte's measure was announced on Thursday during the meeting of the National Commission for Safety, Comfort and Coexistence in Football, which took place at the Ministry of the Interior, with the presence of all the actors of Colombian football, Dimayor, Federation, Acolfutpro and even representatives of fans and the media, together with th
e Government.
The general meeting this Thursday aimed to establish a dialogue between all the corresponding actors in the search for taking measures to combat the violence that occurs in football stadiums.
