The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Awad Saghir Al Ketbi, said that thanks to the unlimited support of the wise leadership, the Corporation was able to provide a global model for the ambulance and emergency medicine system, in a way that achieves the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE and Chairman of the Council of Ministers. Record numbers
Al Ketbi added that the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, through its strategic projects to develop the ambulance work system in the Emirate of Dubai, was able during the past year to achieve record numbers in providing its services to members of the community, as it received 205,200 reports for various cases ranging from simple, medium, and critical, and its staff provided Ambulance provided health care for 235,394 cases in the same year, including transporting 69,647 emergency cases and 26,816 non-emergency cases to government and private hospitals, and providing health care for the rest of the cases at the Al-Balagh site, achieving life-saving cases for 90 people whose heart stopped, with a percentage of An increase of 21% over the year 2022 for cardiac resuscitation and life-saving cases, with an average response time to emergency reports of 7.5 minutes, and an improvement rate of 13% compared to the year 2022.
Al Ketbi stressed: “As part of the Corporation’s keenness to provide a rapid response that is compatible with the needs of the residents and visitors of Dubai, and within the framework of the Dubai Urban Plan, the Corporation created 12 emergency points during the past year, bringing the number of emergency points affiliated with the Corporation to 133 points distributed across the regions of Dubai.”
He explained that the institution is unique and distinguished by its specialized first aid to meet the needs of different groups in society, as it is managed and operated by 1,375 diverse cadres of emergency doctors, paramedics, emergency medicine technicians and emergency responders, working around the clock.
Event coverage
The Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services succeeded in covering important events across the Emirate of Dubai, which numbered 42 different events, with a total number of hours of 5,000 hours, which included covering important occasions, such as Eid and New Year events, local and international races, and international exhibitions and conferences.
The Foundation also succeeded in providing 154 programs and training courses to the government sector, from which 11,159 employees benefited, while it provided 88 programs to the private sector, from which 3,952 beneficiaries benefited in 2023, as part of its plan for training and community awareness.

As part of its regulatory tasks for ambulance services in the Emirate of Dubai, the Corporation licensed during the past year 120 training centers that provide first aid courses and programs, and 62 health facilities or hospitals that provide ambulance services, in addition to licensing professionals to private entities, whose number reached 732 professionals, including 188 trainers and 311 paramedics. And 233 ambulance operators, in addition to licensing 127 ambulances.
