The economical device from Samsung's flagship series could arrive earlier than what happened with its predecessor, in a launch expected for the summer.
The Galaxy S24 FE has been a bit of a mystery over the past few months, as not much information has been circulating about this affordable flagship.
At first glance you might think that the company intends to give up on the idea of the telephone.
But now a latest report suggests the opposite.
Samsung's Fan Edition range will not stay still until 2023 and will see the introduction of a new model even this year.
This is what is suggested by an indiscretion coming from South Korea, where The Elec magazine revealed a meeting between the designers of the technological giant and a component supplier, Anapass.
The successor to the Galaxy S23 FE, a model of which we also have a fresh review for you, will see the light of day this summer: contact with the display component manufacturer would signal the mass production process of the driver chips has already started.
In the wake
According to rumors, Galaxy S24 FE will feature a rigid OLED display with “chip-on-film packaging“, more complex to create than traditional chip on glass packaging.
In addition to the production specifications, which should offer greater design freedom and allow a reduction in the frames around the display, there are no signs of discontinuity with the series, the aesthetics should in fact resume that of the Galaxy S23 FE, barring any surprises.
There is no information on the photographic department: we can rely on the predecessor Galaxy S23 FE for reference, which is equipped with a 10 MP front camera and three rear 50 + 12 + 8 MP (main + ultra wide angle + telephoto).
According to rumors, the new model could boast 12 GB of RAM LPDDR5X and up to 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage (128GB configuration with UFS 3.1).
There is also talk of a battery from 4,500 mAhin line with the previous model and superior to the Galaxy S24, which has a 4,000 mAh battery.
Mystery that doesn't hurt
Unfortunately, beyond this little information on the specifications and the potential launch window, not much else is available.
We know that the device exists, and this, although it might make you smile, is a relevant note.
Fan Edition devices they do not follow a regular cycle like other Samsung devices on the market.
If the Galaxy S24 FE were to launch in the summer, it would be several months ahead of the Galaxy S23 FE, which hit shelves in October 2023, in the fall.
Finally, an uncertain rumor claims that the phone will use a combination of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy and Exynos 2400a dual-chip strategy that seems to be popular with Samsung in recent times, so much so that it is hypothesized that it could also be proposed for the next Galaxy S series.
