Vedomosti: demand for repair of household appliances in Russia increased by 64 percent
At the end of 2023, the demand for repair of household appliances in Russia increased by 64 percent compared to 2022, and for repair of electronics – by 36 percent. About it reports Vedomosti newspaper with reference to statistical data from market participants.
Most of the requests last year were for repairs of washing machines and dryers. In this segment, demand for repairs of equipment of all brands increased by 181 percent year on year.
The opposite dynamics were recorded in the field of computer technology. In this segment, demand for repairs decreased by 30 percent compared to 2022. We are talking about repairing computers, laptops, monoblocks and printers. Telecom Daily CEO Denis Kuskov associated this trend with the closure of official service centers of foreign vendors who left Russia.
Earlier, Mikhail Sizov, managing partner of Mobius Technologies, said that over the past year in Russia the demand for repairs of foreign electronics components and data storage systems has increased 5 times. Then the expert explained such dynamics in the domestic market by increased sanctions pressure and logistical problems in the supply of equipment for foreign computer technology.
