Dragon Ball: Shueisha shares one of the first sketches that Akira Toriyama made of Goku | TierraGamer: news and entertainment about anime, series, video games and technology

It has been almost a month since the world learned of Akira Toriyama's death and his legacy continues to grow. Now the publisher Shueisha decided to pay tribute to the creator of dragon ball by sharing a sketch of Goku that was made long before the first issue of the manga.

Shueisha shared the sketch through its official site. Dragon Ball. Although they did not say the exact date it was made, they mentioned that it was one of Goku's first sketches and it was from before the manga was serialized. So it is surely at least 40 years old, since the publication of these adventures began in 1984.

The sketch in question is very similar to the appearance that Goku had in his final design. The main differences we find are in his hair, whose peaks are more upwards, and in his face, which looks more serious than how we met the little Saiyan.. Not to mention an apparent scar on his chest.

Surely this was one of the sketches closest to the final design of the protagonist of dragon ball. Fans will remember that in the beginning Goku was going to be quite similar to Sun Wukong, because it was an adaptation of Journey to the West.
