Square Enix has announced the launch date from the new season of the PlayStation exclusive Foamstars. It will be called Mysterious Swing and will be available starting April 13, 2024. “Both old and new players will have access to a new character, new events and a series of free and premium cosmetic content,” the official press release tells us, which also reveals the closing date of the event: May 18th.

- A new Foamstar, Chloe Noir: is a mysterious art gallery director who uses a foam rifle that fires in a straight line to destroy enemies using Astro, her bubble monster. You can get Chloe Noir for free as a reward for reaching Season Pass Rank 31 or immediately by purchasing the Premium Pass.
- Free weekly limited-time items: Enter the FOAMSTARS store every Friday to get free content. Every week there's a free item for all players, including a skin for Mel T, a skin for the Jet Justice foam gun, and more.
- Ranking party: Two limited-time seasonal events, Lone Star Ranking Party for solo play and Tribal-Style Ranking Party for teams.
- Extreme party: Challenge other players in two special themed events. The Chloe Noir Theme Party, where each team of players takes on opposing teams while controlling Chloe Noir, and the Pen Guina Theme Party, where players can fight using only Pen Guina with her Toboggan Bomb and Emperor's March abilities .

After a period in which it was distributed free of charge to PlayStation Plus subscribers, Foamstars is now available purchased for €29.99. It can be played on PS4 and PS5. The season pass costs €5.99.
