A tribute to the coat of arms of the city of Murcia and its identity. This is how a Battle of Flowers parade was planned, which this Thursday opted to praise the celebrations and traditions of a city marked by the strength of its spring. Thus, the main festivals of the municipality were the main protagonists of the decoration of the ten floats that made up the floral procession.
The Queens of the Huerta, the Sardine, the Certamen de Tunas or the Standard Bearers of Moors and Christians paraded among papier-mâché sculptures, beautifully decorated with thousands of flowers that ended up being distributed among an avid public.
They were accompanied by different ballets and groups of 'majorettes', skaters and stilt walkers, as well as characters designed to delight the little ones, including imposing floral figures of Disney characters. Finally, the explosion of color reached the Glorieta at the passing of the city's shield, at which point the petal cannons and a colorful 'tronaera' left attendees with their mouths open.
