Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu spoke by phone with his French counterpart Sebastien Lecornu. The parties discussed the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall and its likely organizers, as well as the possibility of resolving the situation in Ukraine.
The head of the French Ministry of Defense condemned the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Krasnogorsk. He also expressed solidarity with the families of the victims and noted their readiness to cooperate in countering terrorism.
The minister stressed that Paris does not have information about Ukraine’s connection with the terrorist attack.

The Russian Ministry of Defense commented on the negotiations between Shoigu and Lecornu. They noted that the minister pointed out to his French colleague the Ukrainian trace in the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall.
It is clarified that Lecornu tried persistently to convince Shoigu that Ukraine and the West were not involved in what happened, shifting the blame for the attack on ISIS (IS, a terrorist organization banned in Russia).
