SQUARE ENIX announced that the demo of SaGa Emerald Beyondavailable starting today, will be different depending on the platform on which it will be played, i.e PlayStation, Nintendo Switch or Steam.
Each of the trial versions, in fact, will allow us to step into the shoes of a different protagonist and experience his exclusive story: Tsunanori Mido (on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4), Ameya (on Nintendo Switch) e Diva No. 5 (on PC).
Below you will find further details on the three demos, while we remind you that SaGa Emerald Beyond will be available from 25 April on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, iOS and Android exclusively in digital format.
SAGA EMERALD BEYOND DEMOS ARE AVAILABLE WITH EXCLUSIVE STORIES FOR DIFFERENT PLATFORMS

MILAN (4 April 2024) – Today, SQUARE ENIX® released three playable demos for the upcoming RPG SaGa Emerald Beyond on Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®5 (PS5®), PlayStation®4 (PS4®) and PC (STEAM®)*. The demos offer you the chance to discover more information about the main characters of SaGa Emerald Beyond and to start the game before the official launch, as demo saves can be transferred to the full game on the respective platforms.
Exclusive demos for PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC platforms allow you to play several hours of the stories of three different characters:
- Tsunanori Mido (PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4): A man who can manipulate kugutsu, animated puppets, to protect the barrier surrounding his home, Miyako City. When the city is struck by all sorts of supernatural phenomena, Tsunori travels to other worlds to seek out four elemental spirits and restore order to the spiritual realm.
- Ameya (Nintendo Switch): An apprentice witch who visits Miyako City and pretends to be a student as part of her final exam. After Ameya is attacked by an unknown person, she loses all of her magical powers and must find a way to recover what she has lost to pass the exam.
- Diva No. 5 (PC): A robot singer from the world of Avalon, designed to sing and dance. After singing a forbidden song, Diva's memory and singing capabilities are sealed, causing her to lose her job and her music. Desperate, Diva throws away her “human” body and accepts an invitation from a secret society, thus abandoning Avalon.
SaGa Emerald Beyond will be released on April 25, 2024 in digital format on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC and iOS and Android devices. It is already possible to pre-order it on PC and console. SaGa Emerald Beyond it is the most recent chapter in the project's long history Saga of SQUARE ENIX, which has been going on for 35 years.
