The event First Playable, dedicated to the world of video gamesreturns to Florence from 3 to 5 July 2024, at the spaces of Nana Bianca and Cinema La Compagnia. Organized by IIDEA and the Toscana Film Commission in collaboration with ICE Agency and with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it aims to promote the growth of the Italian videogame industry. With more than 500 professionals and 1,000 business meetings in the previous edition, further networking and business opportunities are expected this year. The event includes meetings between companies, technical talks, and an awards ceremony for the best Italian games and professionals. It is an opportunity to develop opportunities in the gaming sector, with the support of prestigious partners. As part of First Playable, on July 4th, the La Compagnia cinema in Florence will host the Italian Video Game Awards (IVGA), promoted by IIDEA to celebrate the Italian gaming industry. During the event, a jury will reward the games and professionals who stood out in 2023. The nominations for the Italian Video Game Awards they can be submitted until April 19th. Categories include Best Italian Game, Best Debut, Outstanding Art, Immersive Experience, Individual Contribution, and Outstanding Italian Company. A jury will select the finalists and winners, with some prizes awarded directly by the industry.
