There are no official announcements on the matter yet, but the studio behind Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 and Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game has removed all references to the old owner company from its official website.
Consider that for now there are no announcements on the matter, so it is not clear who bought it. One hypothesis is that the new owners are the studio's managers themselves, aided by a third-party financier. However, there is no certainty on the merits and we just have to wait for news on the matter to find out more.
Independent studio?
In recent days there had already been talk of the sale of Saber Interactive, due to the disaster made by Embracer Group in the management of the numerous teams acquired in the space of a few years, with its business plan which seems to have been based completely on obtaining a financing by Saudi Prince Bin Salman's Arab gaming fund.
Having failed to achieve this goal, a bloody and tearful restructuring plan began, involving thousands of layoffs and the closure of entire development studios.
