Chiara Ferragni's interview was highly criticized by the president of Codacons, who asked for Fabio Fazio's television broadcast to be blocked
A recent interview given to Corriere della Sera by Chiara Ferragni has sparked an unprecedented controversy, bringing to the fore serious accusations against Italian journalism and raising questions about the credibility of media information in the country.
The controversy exploded when Carlo Rienzi, president of Codacons, expressed his dissent regarding the statements made in the interview by the famous influencer. Rienzi defined the interview as a clear sign of decline in Italian journalism. The situation took an even more heated turn when Rienzi declared that he had contacted theAdnkronos to express his thoughts on the matter:
The interview is precisely the preview of what will happen during Fazio's broadcast, whose suspension and seizure we have asked for.
The accusations made by Rienzi were clear and decisive: he accused Ferragni of spreading lies and falsehoods regarding a legal case of national importance. He criticized Ferragni's attitude in minimizing an alleged scandal linked to the so-called “Pandoro-gate“, passing it off as a simple communication error. In fact, Chiara defends herself by saying that in the scroll that she had placed on the pandoro it would not have written that the proceeds would go to charity.
But Rienzi says there is evidence that Pandoro sales did not go to charity, as she had claimed, explaining:
Balocco's 50 thousand euro transfer was from May and therefore earlier and has no causal relationship with the sales of the pandoro; it is not a payment resulting from the generosity and charity of a considerable number of consumers who instead bought the pandoro as victims of a clear deception.
Rienzi concluded by asking for respect for the readers of Corriere della Sera and for the viewers of Nove TV, underlining the importance of information free from manipulation.
