Publisher Curve Games and the developers of Microbird have announced the postponement of the release date of Dungeons of Hinterberg. The previous promising action RPG mixed with social elements scheduled for spring was postponed to the summer. At launch it will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PC and within the PC and Xbox Game Pass catalog.
The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer released at IGN Fan Fest 2024 that offers an overview of the game's key features, which you can view below.
On holiday in the Alps looking for dungeons
Dungeons of Hinterberg, is a action-RPG set in a fantasy version of our world, where being a tourist hunting dungeons is considered a perfect vacation. In this context, we will take on the role of Luisa, an adventurer in search of strong emotions, who has decided to travel to Hinterberg, a fantasy version of the Austrian Alps and the setting is the backdrop to the events of the game. During the adventure we will be able to explore mountains and forests far and wide in search of hidden dungeons and monsters to defeat.
The game also focuses heavily on social component: at the end of each virtual day we will be able to return to the village and interact with various secondary characters, thus discovering more details about the lore, discovering the location of new dungeons and sometimes even learning new magic, offensive skills and crafting recipes.
