Halo: Season 2 recently launched theepisode 4which contains a short Easter egg dedicated to Xbox and in particular to the first and original Microsoft console, as can be seen for a few seconds within a particular scene.
The question could represent spoilers, even if there are no elements related to the plot in what follows, however we would like to point out the risk of spoilers.
As also reported in a discussion on Reddit, during the episode there is a particular scene that takes place during the beginning of theinvasion of Reach by the covenants, in which Master Chief and Perez enter a sort of antique shop.
The Spartans order them to evacuate the place but the lady refuses to leave her position, asking Chief to move a typewriter onto a shelf.
An old acquaintance
At this point, among the objects present in the shop, it is possible to see (even if the image is very dark) an example of the first Xbox on display, in particular a special Halo-themed model, evidently preserved by the shopkeeper as an ancient object from a bygone era, with a nice homage to the tradition of the series itself.
Although Season 2 is also not necessarily canon and does not precisely follow the history and background of the video game series, for the moment it is proving to be more in line with the themes and atmospheres typical of Halo video games, including the representation of the fall of Reach which always represents a fundamental event in the imagination of the series.
For now the results seem very positive: we reported that Season 2 of the TV series has 92% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, but the percentage subsequently rose to 94%, a sign of great appreciation for this new season.
