Officers Union has accepted the negotiation result on the salaries and working hours of NATO's command structure, the alliance says in its press release. The Ministry of Defense also informs that the Ministry and the personnel organizations of the Defense Forces have reached a negotiation result.
The agreement contains the conditions regarding the salaries and working hours of those leaving the NATO command structure. The result of the negotiations will be approved by the Ministry of Finance, and only then can the details of the agreement be announced. The outcome of the negotiations covers all personnel groups of the Defense Forces, i.e. officers, college officers, non-commissioned officers, special officers and civilians.
Previously, it has been reported that as a member of the military alliance NATO, Finland will have to fill about a hundred positions in NATO's command structure, for example in military headquarters located abroad.

According to the officers' union, the organizations representing personnel were able to write down the things they considered important in the agreement, but there was still room for improvement.
“The outcome of the negotiations provides a good starting point for the tasks of the command structure, which Finland, as a new member country, is still gaining experience from. In terms of our acceptance, it is particularly important that the agreement is reviewed as agreed and developed based on experience,” says the chairman of the Officers' Association Ville Viita in the bulletin.
