This M3 youngtimer proves that you can indeed tune an old BMW.
Visually tackling an old BMW is like giving an old Madonna various facelifts. Yes, you can still see the original lines somewhere in the distance, but the whole thing seems a bit forced. And precisely because you want to make it look so modern, you actually see where it is really old. There is nothing wrong with growing old gracefully.
This is of course no different with the BMW 3 Series of the E46 generation. Most modifications do not make the car more attractive. But today is an exception. This is a BMW M3 that goes by Vorsteiner has been taken care of.
M3 youngtimer
The first compliment is that the car does not look tuned at first. These are very subtle modifications, but they do work. The front bumper is inspired by that of the BMW M3 CSL, with the extra air intake. People with a preference for symmetry have difficulty with this, but there are probably Land Rover Discovery fans who are enthusiastic about this.
On the bumper we see two carbon attachments. That carbon fits well with the hood, because it is also made of that very expensive material. It appears to be the original hood, but this one from Vorsteiner is just a bit more intense. On the side we see an, er, ornament, which is strangely enough more stylish than BMW's own somewhat kitschy decoration. A tuner that does it more stylishly than the manufacturer, it shouldn't get any crazier.
Very expensive wheels
At the rear we see the pronounced spoiler and diffuser, which you can guess three times is made of milk material. Yep: carbon fiber. The Vorsteiner wheels are also beautiful. Not a bicolor rarity, but just a lovely thick retro-style wheel. The name is 'GTE-352' and they are of course forged and three-piece. The pattas are not cheap, you can easily spend 12 grand and that doesn't even have tires on them!
Behind the rims we see a set of Brembo brakes. Not an unnecessary luxury, as the standard braking of the M3 E46 is seriously inadequate if you want to brake more than twice from high speed. In short, this M3 youngtimer from Vorsteiner proves that you can indeed tune yourself 'stylishly'.
