Microsoft has announced that it has begun the rollout of theFebruary system update For Xbox Series X|S and Onewhich will introduce a couple of really interesting features.
The first is that now over 100 games, including Minecraft Dungeons, Psychonauts 2 and Sea of Thieves, support Custom touch screen controls for remote play via the Xbox app on compatible iOS, Android and Windows devices. As we can see in the example image below, users will be able to arrange the various controls of the Xbox controller as they prefer.
In addition to the custom layout, a basic touch control scheme can now be used with most other games available on the green and cross consoles.
Analog stick calibration function
The other notable new feature of the February update is represented by a new tool available on both consoles and PC for calibrate the analog sticks on the Xbox Wireless Controller, thanks to which it will be possible to compensate for any minor problems with the pad (such as a stick that is not perfectly centered at rest) without necessarily resorting to assistance. Furthermore, the software will also come in handy for anyone who needs to recalibrate the controller after self-repairing it.
Among the other new features of the update, we mention the Further optimized game and app search filterswhich now allow you to easily find titles based on supported languages, technical features and accessibility options, as well as a function to log out your profile automatically when you stop playing.
