“It consumed everything”: the colossal devastation in Chile due to the fires

The inhabitants of Villa Independencia, epicenter of the catastrophe in Viña del Mar, return to their houses devastated by the fire and remember the violence of the flames. For several days, central Chile has been ravaged by uncontrollable fires that have claimed at least 123 lives. Authorities believe this figure could increase rapidly given the number of people still missing.
