The body of a newborn was found this Monday afternoon on a conveyor belt at a waste center located in the Cáceres town of Mirabel. The discovery of the baby's lifeless body occurred after 4:30 p.m., and it was subsequently transferred to the Institute of Legal Medicine of Cáceres (IML) to perform an autopsy, according to sources from the Civil Guard.
The armed institute, through the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police (UOPJ) of the Cáceres Command, has taken charge of the investigation of the events.
