Said Etris Hashemi survived the racist attack in Hanau; his brother Nesar was murdered. After the terror, Hashemi became an activist and has now written about his frustration in a book.
Said Etris Hashemi wears black. Black pants, black sweater, black shoes. This makes the chain he wears around his neck even more noticeable. The silver pendant on it looks like a dog tag. There is a name on it: Said Nesar. A date of birth: June 9, 1998. And you can see the infinity sign.
Nesar and Etris were brothers. On February 19, 2020, a right-wing extremist shot the younger of the two in the Hanau Arena bar. Nine young people with a migrant background were murdered that evening. Said Etris Hashemi survived the attack with serious injuries. Fragments of the ammunition the assassin used are still lodged in his body.
