A shooter with still lively multiplayer
Despite this difference in technical terms, Insurgency: Sandstorm will still continue to be a cross-gen game as far as the multiplayertherefore online matches will be able to take place between users who play on platforms of different generations.
For those unfamiliar, Insurgency: Sandstorm is a Team-based tactical FPS characterized by a realistic military setting, based on more or less close combat in maps that reflect some Middle Eastern scenarios. Follow-up to the well-known Insurgency, a shooter developed under the indie regime but which quickly became very well known, Sandstorm presents itself as an evolution on different levels, with a notable enrichment in terms of content and technical implementation compared to the previous chapter.
The game is also available in the catalog of Xbox Game Pass and continues to have some pretty lively multiplayer. Despite this, the team seems to have recently come under the scrutiny of Embracer Group, which seems to have fired some of the staff and perhaps closed the entire development studio, although there is no confirmation on the matter.
