Leverkusen took the full points pot from RB Leipzig with Piero Hincapie's extra time goal.

Finland national team captain Lukas Hradecky represented by Bayer Leverkusen won a solid 3–2 away win over RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga. From Piero Hincapie became the hero of the away team when the Ecuadorian defender flashed the winning goal from a corner kick in the first minute of extra time.

The full points pot was extremely important for Leverkusen's championship dreams. The top team in the league leads Bayern Munich by seven points, who have played two games less than Leverkusen.

Leipzig led Saturday night's match 1-0 after the opening period, but Leverkusen twice leveled in the second half Nathan Tellan and Jonathan Tahin with goals. Hradecky made four saves in the match.
