On January 28, REN TV will premiere the detective series “ZIG ZAG Gang” to mark the 80th anniversary of the lifting of the siege of Leningrad. Izvestia correspondent Anton Zolotnitsky on January 9 told the details of the plot of the film.
“A freezing besieged city. And the most valuable thing about it is food cards. They are being counterfeited en masse by the ZIG ZAG gang in order to flood the streets with fakes and bask in luxury, dooming thousands of people to certain death,” the journalist noted.
He noted that the name of the gang stands for “Defending the Interests of Germany Banner of Adolf Hitler.”
Viewers of the TV channel will see the confrontation between the joint group of the NKVD and UGRO – two detectives Felix Svidersky and Tikhon Lvov – with the bandit leader Fyodor Kirillov, who went through the German intelligence school and was sent to Leningrad for sabotage and sabotage.
“It was the most terrible gang, and it’s surprising that to this day, no matter who I talk to or tell, everyone hears it for the first time,” said actor Igor Petrenko, who played the main role in the series.
According to historian Stanislav Bernev, the gang had a plan to undermine the economic power of Leningrad. He estimated that ZIG ZAG stole a total of 17 tons of food.

At the beginning of December, the series “ZIG ZAG Gang” became the leader in the top audience ratings, gaining 8.9 points in the project rating in KION. Its premiere on the platform of this online cinema took place on November 1. The series also received high ratings on Kinopoisk – 7.5 points out of 10 possible, as well as on Kinoteatr.ru – 8.2/10.
Before this, in November, it became known that “The ZIG ZAG Gang” entered the top 3 projects in terms of the number of viewers, this was evidenced by data from the first 10 days of the series showing in the KION online cinema.
