The Fujairah Police General Command has identified four dangerous practices carried out by motorcyclists, which pose a threat to the roads and endanger their safety and the safety of road users. They are sudden deviation of the bike, excessive speed, entering between vehicles without paying attention, and resorting to some dangerous behavior such as parading on the roads and recklessness. Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at the Fujairah Police General Command, Colonel Abdullah Muhammad Ali Al Samahi, stated that motorcycle drivers’ commitment to safe driving standards on the roads constitutes an essential element in ensuring safety and security, in order to preserve their personal safety and the safety of other users on the road.
He explained that the Fujairah Police General Command, represented by the Traffic and Patrols Department, is organizing the events and activities of the first quarterly campaign for the current year under the slogan “Safe Driving for Cyclists,” starting from the beginning of this January, and for three consecutive months within the plan of traffic awareness campaigns of the Ministry of Interior and the General Command of the Fujairah Police. Approved by the Federal Traffic Council, it embodies the strategic goal of safe transportation and consolidating the principles of traffic culture through awareness programs.
