“Our voices unite to remember that democracy prevailed”, says the first lady; president and ministers participated
First Lady Janja Lula da Silva shared this Monday (8 January 2024) a video about extremist acts in Congress buildings, STF (Supreme Federal Court) and Palácio do Planalto on January 8, 2023. The sociologist, the president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), ministers, artists and unknown people participated in the media repeating the word “democracy”.
Actress and producer Denise Fraga begins the video with the following statement: “We are together, every day, fighting for our democracy”. The material was published on the profile of social media of the first lady.
In the caption, Janja states that “Brazil is one” and that the “a country that respects the sovereign decision of its people”. And finally, he declares: “Our voices unite to remember that democracy prevailed.”
