The University of Sharjah signed a joint scientific and research cooperation agreement with Zarmid University in the city of Samarkand in the Republic of Uzbekistan, covering several research and academic fields in the medical and health sciences fields.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the University of Sharjah by Professor Dr. Youssef Al-Hayek, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, and on behalf of Zarmid University by Dr. Shukurlev Dalirovich, the university’s representative, in the presence of Professor Dr. Nabil Suleiman, Director of the Surgical and Clinical Training Center, and Coordinator of Summer Clinical Training at the College of Medicine at the University of Sharjah. .
The terms of the agreement stipulate that the two parties encourage the exchange of educational and research materials, publications and academic information, the exchange of academic visits for faculty members, researchers and students, the conduct of joint scientific research in medical specialties, scientific publishing, the organization of medical conferences and seminars, and the joint supervision of master’s and doctoral theses.
Professor Dr. Nabil Suleiman stressed the importance of cooperation between the two universities, which provides the opportunity for their faculty members to participate and attend conferences, seminars and scientific lectures specialized in the medical fields, in addition to exchanging experiences and providing practical and professional training for students from both sides.
