There are several elements that do not add up in the case of the death of Roberta Bertacchi. Her young woman, only 26 years old, was found lifeless on the balcony of her house in Casarano, in the Lecce area, hanging by the neck with the scarf of the local football team. Some of her witnesses would have seen her arguing with her partner a few hours before her death. At the moment no hypothesis is ruled out.
Casaranoa small town of around 20 thousand inhabitants located in the province of Lecce, in Puglia, is completely in shock over what happened to Roberta Bertacchi last January 6th.
Originally from Milan and born in 1997, she lived in Lombardy until she was 9, when her parents separated and she moved to Puglia along with his mother and brother.
He currently lived in Casarano, in an apartment he had taken rented aloneand worked as an employee in a local shoe company.
On the morning of January 6, one of her neighbors, passing through the courtyard, noticed her lifeless on the balcony, hanging by her neck from the shelter with a scarf from the local football team. The emergency call was immediately made and health workers arrived on site, but they weren't already there for her nothing more to do.
The hypothesis that was most accredited in the first moments was that of suicide, considering the node done to the scarf and the breakage of the canopy due to weight.
In the hours and days that followed, however, some problems emerged elements that they completely could change the cards on the table.
Roberta Bertacchi and the argument before dying
In the 26-year-old's home the investigators would have found some broken and misplaced objects. This is one of the elements that the authorities themselves are investigating.
Furthermore, it seems that a few hours before the discovery of her lifeless body, Roberta Bertacchi had a heated argument with his companya local boy with whom it seems she had been dating for just over a month.
The young man was heard as a person informed of the factsbut at the moment he is not registered in the register of suspects, nor does a crime investigation appear to have been opened.
Investigators are working to clarify the matter as best as possible. At the moment no hypothesis has been ruled outfrom the autonomous gesture, to murder and incitement to suicide.
