Pasolini, discovered a luxury villa in Rome well. The case
A piece of news has recently come out in “La Verità” in a nice article signed by the journalist and director Giuseppe Pollicelli taken from Dagospia, who took it – so to speak – from his personal discovery. We report her words on a “shocking surprise”: “It is the case of one recent discovery by the writer and made possible by the recent death of the actress Antonella Lualdi, who knew Pasolini well from having taken part, in 1959, in Mauro Bolognini’s film La notte brava, freely inspired by some moments in Pasolini’s novel Ragazzi di vita.
The discovery is as follows: Pasolini owned, we don’t know if until the end of his days but certainly for a long time, a luxurious residence located in one of the chicest areas of Rome, between Ponte Milvio and the beginning of Via Cassia, in the northern part of the city”. The discovery comes from the careful reading of Lualdi’s autobiography, who recently passed away:
“I Antonella loved by Franco” (2018, Manfredi publisher). Franco is her husband, the famous actor Franco Interlenghi. On page 195 Pollicelli therefore rediscovers a striking fact: «We saw Pasolini very much. He often played football with Franco (Interlenghi, ed), Ninetto Davoli, Franco and Sergio Citti and with all his young actors. There were endless matches on the Cassia, where Pasolini had a villa with a large lawn. (…) Franco and I were several times guests for lunch in his house in Montesacro, where Pasolini lived with his mother Susanna. It was a very modest house, nothing to do with the luxurious residence on the Cassia».
