One of the main reasons for the rise of this appliance is its ease of use and cleaning compared to a conventional oil fryer. In addition, the air fryer allows you to prepare much healthier dishes, with little fat. According to an analysis by the OCU, these devices are really profitable because although their price is somewhat higher than that of a conventional fryer, they end up being cheaper thanks to the lower consumption of oil and electricity.
Hot air fryers cost between 50 and 200 euros, while oil fryers are cheaper, with a price between 25 and 110 euros. The OCU recalls that the main failures in these devices occur in the rotation mechanism and in the controls and the handle of the air fryer basket. Durability is one of the most important aspects when evaluating the quality of an appliance model.
