Football: PSG, Blanc leaves the club after 12 years
The former president of Juventus Jean-Claude Blanc leaves Paris Saint Germain, where he held the position of managing director. “The last 12 seasons have been an incredible professional adventure and I am proud to have helped Paris Saint-Germain to become the international sporting powerhouse it is today,” commented Blanc.
Born in Chambery 49 years ago, Jean-Claude Blanc was general manager and managing director of Juventus from 29 June 2006 to 6 October 2009, when he took over from Giovanni Cobolli Gigli to the presidency of the club. At the end of the season he gave way to Andrea Agnelli, returning to his previous role within the Juventus club. He resigned in May 2011 and moved to PSG the following October.
His cycle at the helm of the Parisian club curiously ends on the day in which Juventus looks back at its recent past with Andrea Agnelli who reiterates the correctness of his actions before the shareholders’ meeting, in which Luciano Moggi calls for the Calciopoli case to be reopened.
